MEDICAL PROCUREMENT AGENT

Support strategic sourcing activities with the goal of achieving significant cost reductions, inventory management and standardization of products and services across the organization. 

Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager and supporting staff to conduct competitive bidding processes for direct and indirect commodities and services. 

Analyzes responses, performs cost benefit analysis, develops reports/presentations and present/make recommendations. 

Procures and/or sources supplies, equipment and services required to support the corporate and all entities associated with SICM. 

Incumbent will routinely be handling confidential materials; involved in confidential matters relative to supplier relationships and expected to maintain confidentiality within the Supply Chain Management department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree

4-7 years experience as a Purchasing Agent, Buyer, Procurement Specialist, etc. or 3+ years with supply chain management or materials management exp. in a sourcing position in the healthcare business REQUIRED.

Inventory management experience necessary.

Proven ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed branch locations.

Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders and suppliers.

Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, MS Office, web applications.

Knowledge of Great Plains or an ERP application is required.

4-7+ YEARS EXPERIENCE W/ MEDICAL SUPPLIES & EQUIPMENT PURCHASING/SOURCING REQUIRED!
