Clinical Psychologist for a Children’s IOP/ Partial Care Mental Health Programs

Stepping Forward Counseling Center, is seeking a Psychologist Ph.D . We are experts in providing mental health services that help (ages 02-21) children, young adults and their families improve their quality of life. With more than 10 years of experience providing comprehensive mental health services, Stepping Forward Counseling Center, LLC (SFCC) is distinguished by its use of a holistic treatment strategy that engages clients in individually tailored programs that address wellness of mind, body, and spirit.
Stepping Forward Counseling Center’s IOP and PC programs are set in different environments that call for a variety of “natural” social and interpersonal skills. These environments include Doc’s Joc’s Sports, School Matters, Manners Matter, Art, Yoga and Social Skills/Group Therapy. The client has 7 objectives, 4 pertaining to the group and 3 pertaining to the individual. The clients are assessed on their performance on these 7 objectives throughout the three or four environments the individual engages in each day. The objectives can be but are not limited to impulse control, cooperation, adapting to losing, concentration, sharing and the art of conversation. Since the environments are closely similar to the client’s natural environments, it is more likely that the behaviors taught at SFCC will generalize to the individual’s natural setting.
Responsibilities include:
Comprehensive evaluation, treatment plans, individual, group and family therapy. Working with insurance companies getting pre-certification and providing clinical reviews. Developing new programs and expanding on current programs. Develop and Implement parent training programs. Sports/Athletic background a plus. Must enjoy outdoors and be flexible with hours.
