We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator for our Advance Phase division to work in our Washington DC office location.

 

Responsibilities of this position include:

 

·         Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with standards of Good Clinical Practice, CNS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), QA/QC procedures, OSHA guidelines and other state and local regulations where applicable. 

·         Demonstrates working knowledge of assigned clinical trial protocols, including but not limited to performing subject visit protocol requirements (scheduling patient’s visits, informed consent procedures, laboratory and drug accountability requirements, etc.).

    Completes all study documentation forms and other clinical trial specific documents, including    

      detailed source documentation [case report form (CRF) or electronic case report form (eCRF)] in a

      timely manner.

   Required to attend/travel to sponsor Investigator meetings as needed for assigned clinical trials.

   Develops or assists in developing advertising, where applicable, coordinates ad placement with    

     other site staff, keeps complete and accurate advertising schedules and maintains media cost insure

     that recruitment costs are within the budgets provided by sponsor companies. 

   Builds and maintains relationships with referral sources including but not limited to local case  

     management agencies, area hospitals, homeless shelters, and area physicians.

   Serves as a liaison between clinical trial candidates, case workers, family members, and CNS to

     ensure continuity of care.

   Identifies appropriate candidates for study participation and review protocol specific criteria to

     determine eligibility.

   Meets targeted number of monthly consented clients.

   Facilitates study candidates’ transition from outpatient/inpatient treatment to study participation

     ensuring that a client’s clinical and social needs are met.

   Identifies opportunities within the site’s metro area for promoting CNS’s mission and values through

     business expansion.

  Organizes and coordinates community outreach programs. 

  Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects independently and efficiently 

 

 

 

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science field
  • Nursing Degree or Masters in Mental Health field preferred

OR

Minimum Work Experience

  • Combination of college education, training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job in lieu of Bachelor’s degree in designated field of study may be considered with approval from CNS Senior Management
  • Experience conducting clinical trials and/or study coordinating preferred

  • Must be able to “sell” capabilities and build relationships with clients
  • Ability to work independently and show creativity in role responsibilities 
  • Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
