Clinical Specialist, Surgical

Description
 One of the surgical industry's most prestigious manufacturers is in need of several sharp clinicians who would like to transition their professional careers form the purely 'clinical' side of healthcare to the 'business' side, yet be able to fully utilize their previous experience and knowledge of medical / surgical procedures.

This position will require you to guide surgeons, as they perform surgery in the OR, on the proper usage of cutting-edge surgical products. It also includes follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service and education within a territory.  This position educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to your  employer's products and therapies.

As you become more proficient, you will be expected to assist your district manager and in-house training department in education/training of new employees in the district.

The ultimate 'bottom-line' objective of this position is to support the sales department in its quest to provide both the highest quality surgical products and the most comprehensive instruction, so as to assure optimal patient outcomes.

The position pays a base salary of $65,000 - $80,000 (depending on experience), plus, the potential of adding another $15,000 - $20,000 in incentive bonus, based upon performance. The company provides a monthly car allowance, expenses, and benefits.

The territories that are open include Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens County.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree (Associates Degree is acceptable) in a Clinical discipline. The most desirable background is Nursing, and the more surgical experience one has, the better. A minimum of four  (4) years patient care/clinical experience is required, and included in this experience should be two (2)+ years of experience in  drug delivery systems.

Bilingualism (Spanish) is a MAJOR plus.

Experience with a medical device company or pharmaceutical company, and clinical experience in any of the following specialty areas: neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, pain management, is highly preferred, but not necessary. Other skills that are not easily quantified, but essential, include:

•Ability to communicate effectively with sales and health care professionals.
•Ability to coach others on use of products and clinical applications.
•Excellent organizational skills.
•Ability to prioritize under pressure
•Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
