Clinical Support Specialist - External

***This is a field based position covering the Midwest and the Northeast.  This individual may be based in either region.***

Assist in development of new Peritoneal Dialysis accounts.
Increase penetration of existing accounts.
Maintain relationships with existing accounts. Provide sales and product support for external PD customers and provide ongoing PD education.
Effectively gather local market data. Utilize data in planning clinical/sales activity.
Identify customer's needs and present the competitive advantages of working with FMC to meet those needs.
Add value to FMC PD products and services with clinical knowledge and expertise.
Identify and prioritize appropriate scheduling of inservicing needs, educational support and follow up calls.
Maintain up to date clinical knowledge through participation in annual PD conference
Maintain clinical expertise with FMC products and services through participation in bi- monthly calls with Internal CSS team.
Communicate effectively with Regional Sales Manager regarding the their customers. Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager and Director of Sales on strategies to maintain and grow the PD business. Reports PD business opportunities and threats to DOS.
Identify and foster potential PD abstracts to appropriate national renal-related meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Extensive travel.

Must be a licensed Registered Nurse. CNN certification preferred or plan to acquire it within first 12 months of employment. Must have a minimum of five years experience in Nephrology Nursing, including training experience. Peritoneal Dialysis experience preferred.
Teaching and communication skills with proven ability in adult education.
Technical skills associated with peritoneal dialysis therapies.
Basic computer skills.
Good presentation skills.
