We are currently seeking a:

CLINICAL TRAINING SPECIALIST 2

Position Summary:

Responsible for the design, development and delivery of training and education for clinicians on Healthcare Partners clinical information systems using instructor-led, computer-based learning, and e-learning formats.  Using instructional design principles for adult learners, participates in the planning, development and modification of end-user internal courses, instructor materials, customized courses, and self-paced learning modules. Delivers hands-on computer training to clinicians and others in a group model or individualized approach. Participates in planning and implementation of quality improvement for training programs to ensure that internal customers are using the clinical information systems efficiently and effectively. Travel locally up to 90%. Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends as needed.

Required:

·         Bachelor's degree from a four-year college and/or professional certification such as RN/LVN requiring formal medical education beyond a two-year college.

·         Over 3 years of training experience and over 5 years of RN/LVN/Clinician work experience.

·         Software training experience in a computer lab environment.

·         Proficiency in Electronic Health Records tool.

·         Proficiency in creating formal training materials, technical writing and documentation in a corporate or medical environment.

·         Very strong presentation skills and superb verbal and written communication skills.

·         Ability to manage special projects to completion and work well with others on the team.

·         Ability to transfer knowledge to clients with diverse cultural backgrounds, educational experiences and learning styles.

·         Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in Standard English to physicians, nurses and other medical staff from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

·         Exposure to medical office procedures in a medical clinic situation.

·         Customer service-oriented.

·         Computer literate - proficiency in operating personal laptop, projector, and other trainer tools.

·         Valid California driver's license, insurance and vehicle for work-related travel.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

·         Over 5 years of training experience and over 7 years of healthcare experience including some RN/LVN/clinician work experience.

·         3 years of experience using clinical information systems particularly in the TouchWorks EHR

·         Instructional Designer Certification preferred (ASTD or other institute).

·         3 years of training experience in a computer lab environment and software training experience.

·         E-Learning development experience.
