Position Description
Co2 Operations Technician
Linde is currently seeking a Co2 Operations Technician to join the team in Lima, OH. Job Responsibilities: · Contribute to team awareness of co-worker and personal safety through proper work habits, good housekeeping skills, and appropriate usage of personal protective equipment · Understand, monitor and take corrective actions to ensure product quality. · Contribute to site security efforts through continuous observance of site security procedures · Safely and Efficiently supervise and conduct plant start-up and shut-down operations in accordance with approved site work instructions · Input data into SAP, Maximo, and other computer generated reports. · Safely and Efficiently Start-Up, Operate and Shut-Down process equipment · Diagnose and remedy process problems · Monitor and adjust plant power consumption for optimal cost performance · Conduct quality assurance testing and maintain all required documentation · Maintain production records and logs · Monitor performance of systems and equipment against established standards, report any deficiencies · Maintain work area in a safe, clean and orderly manner · Perform and assist in maintenance as required · Remotely monitor and adjust numerous On-Site Generators and PSA’s as required · Effective ownership of site process operations safety, through execution of site Hazardous Work Permit Controls and Energy System Isolation Controls · Promptly inform management of safety accidents, unsafe conditions, environmental problems or production operations problems during his/her shift · Attendance and contribution to site safety through participation in the Site Safety Committee and monthly site Operations Safety meetings. · Maintain self paced training progress via Traccess training program, and achieve established training targets. Minimum Qualifications: · A minimum 5 years experience in an industrial environment is required · High School Degree or equivalent is required · Technical school training in electronics, electrical or mechanical systems is a plus · Military experience in a technical rating like cryogenics or nuclear power is a plus · Operations background in a continuous processing environment, and have a strong grounding in mathematics and science · Computer literacy required · Good communication and interpersonal skills · Ability to interface with customers (primarily internal but some external customer communication will be required) · Must possess or be willing to acquire a working knowledge of the CO2 and Air Separation Process. · Previous experience working a rotating shift schedule or be familiar and comfortable with the requirements of working this type of schedule.
