Description:  JPS Health Network has openings for a Coding Reimbursement Specialist II in our JPS Health Center facilities. The positions are Full Time Mon-Fri with some weekends if necessary.  Under the direct supervision of the Director/Manager, the Coding/Reimbursement Specialist II performs functions of coding diagnoses and procedures from ambulatory/outpatient center/clinic records.

Requirements:  RHIA/RHIT eligible with successful completion of an associate degree program in Health Information Technology (HIT) or a bachelor's degree program in Health Information Management (HIM). OR   One (1) year previous outpatient coding experience required and credentialed as an AHIMA certified CCS, CCS-P, or CCA and/or an AAPC certified CPC-A, CPC-H-A, CPC, or CPC-H required. OR three (3) years combination experience of ambulatory/outpatient and inpatient coding and successful completion of A&P, Medical Terminology, and ICD-9/CPT coding from an accredited education program required.
