Distinct Package Technologies: Discover, incubate, and grow capabilities around emerging as well as legacy software solutions that are in some cases disruptive and in others additive or differentiating of other Deloitte Service Lines
 
Systems Integration:  Provide Technology Solution Development and Integration across the SDLC
including requirements, functional specs, design, custom development, integration, testing, and deployment.  Deloitte's SI Capability maintains a strong focus on structuring, managing, and implementing complex technical solutions requiring deep business expertise, process optimization, and business operations knowledge to achieve significant and measurable business value
 
Technology & Process Management:  Provide complete operations services for application management, custom development, and business process outsourcing for clients.  Develop the post implementation go-live support environment, construct the transition plan from the project team to the support team, and support and maintain the client applications and technology infrastructure
 
Cognos Consultant
 
The primary responsibility of Cognos Consultant would be to involve in analysis of existing reporting infrastructure in Cognos 7.3 and upgrade it Cognos 8.4
 
Core Skills:
 6 years (min) Enterprise Business
Intelligence Development Experience, Including:
 3 years (min) Demonstrated Excellence with Cognos Business Intelligence Toolset…
 Framework Manager
 Series 7 Transformer
 Impromptu 7.3
 Analysis Studio
 Report Studio
 Query Studio
 Experience with automation scripts a plus
 
Familiarity with Data Warehouse concepts including Star Schema
Must have upgrade experience from Cognos 7.3 to 8.4
Understand underlying data models.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Team player with flexible attitude, resourcefulness, and initiative
Pro-Active Customer Service attitude
Must have completed or have experience on at least one application development lifecycle.
Knowledge of DB2 environment a plus
  
Major duties and responsibility:
 
Responsible for upgrading Cognos 7.3 to 8.4
Responsible for unit and integration testing.
Responsible for schedule and status reporting
 

· 2+ years experience in OLAP server technology designing data
models, metadata, cubes and drill-thru reports
· 2+ years of total Cognos experience (Series 8, Report Studio, Metric Studio, and Framework Manager).
· 1+ year database optimization and SQL tuning experience
· 1+ year customizing Cognos Connection and customizing report studio report styles
· Working knowledge of BI concepts and data warehousing concepts
 · 2+ years experience in Report Development
 · 2+ years experience  with Balance Scorecard Methodology
 · 2+ years experience  Cognos Administration and Configuration or similar skills
 · 2+ years experience Experience with developing complex SQL query
 · 2+ years experience Experience with data modeling, including multi-dimensional modeling
    Understanding of Cognos 8 Metrics and Cognos 8 BI integration
    Good oral written communication and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional problem solving skills
    Exposure to web infrastructure technologies (Portals, firewalls, DMZ's, networking, etc
.) 
 · Completed a bachelor degree
