Position Description:

Collections Representative
(In House Collections Experience Required)

Summary of Duties:

Position will work with customers, internal departments and outside collection agency (OCA) to resolve disputed accounts and delinquency according to departmental policies, with special emphasis on achieving customer satisfaction.

Description of Responsibilities:

? Contact customers to identify obstacles preventing payments on disputed accounts, including placing outbound and/or receiving inbound customer calls.

? Document calls in all appropriate systems.

? Provides empathetic, courteous, quality customer service in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with department policies and guidelines.

? Reconcile time-sensitive accounts as needed, while maintaining a positive, problem-solving approach and a spirit of cooperation in a team environment.

? Resolve pending issues so that delinquency is reduced and customer issue resolved.


Minimum Qualifications:

?Minimum 1 year of experience working in a collections and customer service environment.

?Superior written and verbal communications skills. Proven ability to effectively defuse irate customers, resolve billing disputes and establish a positive rapport with team members, the management team, OCA and Market contacts.

?Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate sensitive issues in an effective manner.
