TASKS

  • Developing and sustaining customer relationships regarding collection efforts
  • Preparation of all internal/external correspondence related to the credit and collections effort.
  • Preparation of reports (weekly, monthly as required) regarding the status of outstanding accounts receivable balances, and documenting the file of the collection efforts.
  • Coordinate efforts with the applicable Company departments to resolve disputed invoices.
  • Communicate with Sales and Operations when required, to accelerate the collection process and resolve disputes.
  • High volume of daily telephone calls, documenting via a computer log per account.
  • Perform other related duties as requested

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in related field
  • Some advanced education/courses a plus
  • Self starter
  • Able to manage a large volume of accounts
  • Good written and oral communication skills; tactful and diplomatic, though firm and focused
  • Proficient basic computer skills
  • Commercial collections experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to work on computer all day and handle telephone calls
