The Océ Color Project Engineer will provide support to Océ's field Technology & Software Support ("TSS") staff. The individual in this position will be the main point of contact (SME) for Océ's digital, networked connected Color multi-function devices as well as our document and printer management software. In addition, technical direction and assistance will be provided to Service, Product Marketing, Manufacturing and Research and Development activities.
Relocation will be offered to highly qualified candidates.
This position will be responsible for the following:
- Assist field TSS Consultants with resolving product issues; support at the customer location may be requested
- Document and track product deficiencies and/or enhancements in coordination with R&D
- Review and approve System Definition documents from the field TSS Consultants
- Prepare and conduct internal training to field TSS Consultants and Customer Training Representatives
- Test new software and product features
- Develop standard solutions using products and workflows
- Provide customer training assistance on an as-needed basis
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a BS in Electronics, Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in printing or computing industries
- Experience working in a Color digital printing environment with a good understanding of color systems both in operability, installation and configuration
- Demonstrated understanding and application of color theory
- Excellent analytical and technical problem solving skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to research solutions with internal and external providers solving pre- and post-sales issues
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction to field TSS Consultants on a daily basis
