GENERAL PURPOSE:
Retain assigned commercial accounts. Assist in the new business quoting for producers. One may also assist in creating new sales opportunities for other production departments. Work closely with producer and executives to lead department in day-to-day business within the office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILIES:
Set up of new accounts
Supports & communicates with producer, if applicable, on accounts necessary to develop and retain
Monitors the renewal and expiration lists
Review of exposures with clients and prospects
Completes applications, reviews quotations, and prepares proposals
- Responsible for initial transaction of correspondence with carriers on quoting and binding of coverage on new and renewal accounts for larger customers
- Process bound submissions with appropriate documents – certs, id cards, binders
- Responds to clients request preferably same day or within 24 hours
- Maintain an accurate up to date pending transaction log.
- Receives incoming calls and mail from insured’s to report claims and advises producer if necessary
- Review with account associates discrepancies involved on accounts for associate to resolve
- Supports and adheres to agency goals to retain business with key companies
- Manage performance bonding on accounts – request and prepare all bid and performance bonds – with maintaining an up to date report status
- Provides superior customer service and teamwork; and seeks to improve whenever possible
- Review production reports with management on a monthly basis for monitoring goals and profitability of team
- Travels offsite to meet with clients on occasion
- Assists producer with annual reviewing of Account Executives
- May require working more than 40 hours per week
