Commercial Casualty Claims Manager Responsibilities:

Train, coach and mentor claims staff.

Oversight of commercial casualty claims team responsible for investigating, evaluating coverage, evaluating liability, and determining loss value.

Assure compliance with relevant regulatory law and with the company’s contractual and legal obligation.

Small pending of more complex/higher exposure claims.

Commercial Casualty Claims Manager Requirements:

Undergraduate degree. Minimum of 5 years of experience with commercial casualty claims (i.e., mostly Premises Liability, Assault & Battery and Commercial Auto Liability), as well the supervision and development of staff including training.

Managerial experience is preferred but is not required. Though some training experience of claims staff is required.

Proficiency in assigning and analyzing investigations, evaluating coverage, evaluating liability, determining loss value, and superior negotiation skills are required.

Candidates must also be experienced in legal protocol and in handling cases that are in litigation.
