Description
Obtain and review construction documents. Provide high quality material take-off estimates for commercial construction projects, assess difficulty of work and identify costs associated with given project. Review finalized estimates for compliance with project documents and specifications. Maintain an up-to-date computer aided estimating system. Communicate with estimating manager, salesperson, other departments and construction professionals in order to best ensure profitable outcome. Other technical support as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent Blueprint Reading Skills
- Excellent Estimating skills
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Planswift or Primavera estimating software
- Excellent MS Office Skills
- Experience in Division 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 Commercial Construction
- Great Communication skills with Co-Workers and Construction Professionals
Required Experience
- Must have 5 plus years experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator
- Minimum Education Required: Associates Degree
- Ability to read and comprehend commercial construction documents; write routine reports and correspondence; speak/present in front of a small group.
