Ameridian Specialty Services, Inc. has an exceptional opportunity for a full time Commercial Construction Estimator to support our sales representatives in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ameridian Specialty Services, Inc. is an established, full service General Contracting and Roofing Installation & Services company.

About the Job

We are looking for an individual with 10+ years of experience as a commercial construction estimator who is a self-starter and energetic to develop estimates for jobs in a fast-paced, multi-faceted general contracting and commercial roofing company. Ideal candidates should have in depth knowledge of commercial construction estimating, possess the ability to estimate both public and private sectors for both new construction and interior/exterior finishing, and have experience with government contracts.

Qualified applicants must have the ability to work well and coordinate with our project management team. Candidate must have strong organizational and verbal communication skills. Experience with electronic digital estimating software is a must.

Additionally, candidates’ skill set must include:

·         ability to handle construction estimating with minimal supervision

·         overall insight of project planning from conception through completion

·         ability to estimate from plans, specifications and verbal direction. Analyze blueprints, specification, proposals and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, services and projects. Coordinate printing of plans for subcontractor bids.

·         ability to prepare professional bids, assist with the selection of vendors, subcontractors, etc. Consult with clients, vendors, project managers, and other individuals to formulate estimates and resolve issues.

·         understand quantity take offs for all CSI divisions 1-16

·         competencies in Microsoft Office and solid mathematical skills
