Commercial Credit Analyst
Primary Responsibilities:
This position is for a commercial credit analyst. The primary purpose of this position is to execute first level analytics on new and existing wholesale loan requests and perform servicing tasks on existing portfolio. Responsibilities include: 1) Primary responsibility is to enter client business and personal data in bank spreading models and produce reports; 2) Test covenants, calculate borrowing bases and value collateral; 3)Provide analytical support to Risk Advisors and the Commercial, Business Banking and/or Community Risk Managers as needed. 4) Provide limited personal and corporate financial statement analysis, servicing documentation, industry analysis, borrower and guarantor analysis, etc. 5) Assist the Risk Advisors and the Commercial, Business Banking and/or Community Risk Managers in the identification of risk areas and the development or identification of mitigating factors 6) Review and analyze output from spreading package 7) Aid the Commercial, Business Banking and/or Community Risk Managers and Risk Advisors in resolving exceptions in servicing. 8) Seek out and participate in ongoing training on financial statement analysis and underwriting 9) Provide quality service to the internal customers with which the position interacts 10) Model diversity competencies.
Working hours: 8-5
Minimum Requirements:
1) Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience 2) proficient with desktop technology and software including Word and Excel 3) ability to evaluate changes in financial/business condition and personal and business financial statements 4) good written and verbal communication skills 5) knowledge of financial accounting theory and logic, loan structuring, commercial products and services. 6) team player.
** All candidates must have experience with Moody's software!** This is an excellent contract assignment with the ability to become permanent. Qualified candidates must have prior accounting experience along with the ability to read and understand financial statements. Commercial Loan Experience Required.
