Commercial Estimator

Maldonado Nursery & Landscaping, Inc. a leader in providing quality Landscaping, Irrigation, Landscape Maintenance and other Commercial Services is currently seeking for immediate hire, an experienced Commercial Estimator for the San Antonio, TX corporate office.  Maldonado Nursery & Landscaping, Inc. is minority owed and operated, fast-growing company serving commercial and residential customers in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Rio Grande Valley, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas.

Description:   The qualified candidate will perform take-off’s and develop landscape construction bids; Compose bid proposal letters; Maintain a labor and material matrix database; Provide source materials; Prepare client budgetary estimates; Project and calculate change orders; Offer recommendations and prepare proposals for value engineering projects; Create job cost estimates with project cost/profit margins for work sold. 

Qualifications:   Candidate will have extensive working knowledge of Commercial Landscape and Irrigation design, as well as general knowledge of trees, shrubs, irrigation and hardscapes.  Candidate must be proficient in MS Office applications, with a large emphasis on MS Word and MS Excel.  Candidate must be capable of deciphering blueprints and specifications efficiently.  Candidate must exhibit an analytical mind with extreme attention to detail. 

Years of Experience Required:  All candidates must possess a minimum 5+ years experience in Landscape Construction Estimation.
