General Description: Team Leader is a working field supervisor position focusing on all aspects of the commercial cleaning and floor maintenance process. Team leader will be capable of leading and supervising up to 5 people or operate independently as needed on job sites to ensure successful conclusions of projects. Will be able to read and evaluate a scope of work, and put together a plan for a successful conclusion. Position requires personal organization, sense of urgency, and a focus on goal achievement. Communication skills are very important to allow for customer interaction, employee delegation, and follow-up.
Position Requirements:
ü Position will require the flexibility to work a schedule including primarily evenings and weekends, along with some daylight assignments. Emergency on-call rotation required.
ü Must have 5+ years, verifiable commercial cleaning experience with an emphasis on commercial carpet and hard surface floor maintenance
ü IICRC certifications preferred.
ü Ability to learn advanced cleaning techniques and obtain/maintain certifications is required. Must have ability to train others in the same.
ü Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills with small teams. 2 years of verifiable supervisory experience preferred.
ü Must have a verifiable work history
ü Strong customer service background required.
ü Good verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to complete paperwork and documentation as required in a legible manner.
ü Good understanding of local roads and routes and ability to give directions.
ü Must possess a valid drivers license and reliable transportation to our Oakmont office.
ü Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs, ability to crawl and stoop to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods of time, and ability to climb ladder up to 6 ft. required.
ü Must pass drug screening, pre-employment physical, and background check.
ü Must purchase or own and carry a basic tool box and tools.
Key Responsibilities
1. Completing commercial cleaning assignments and/or projects under budget while exceeding customer expectations.
2. Communicate with customers regarding work scope, questions, or any service issues raised.
3. Determine proper equipment, products, and processes necessary to complete jobs.
4. Addressing those who are not complying with company rules and policy, or meeting performance standards.
5. Diagnosing and completing basic equipment repair.
6. Ensuring all security, safety, appearance, and production issues surrounding customer and company facilities are satisfactorily addressed.
7. Verify that the company’s image is maintained at the highest possible level. This includes all employees reporting in prescribed uniform, vehicle maintenance and cleanliness, and workplace organization.
8. Make sure all commercial projects are completed with minimal supervision from above.
9. Based on needs of the business, this position’s requirements may be modified.
10. Must have a high level of ownership and commitment to a job well done.
