Position Summary

CoBiz Insurance is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Producer with a proven track record of generating business. We offer a family of affiliates to provide new business opportunities and a book of business acquisition is a possibility.

This position’s primary responsibility is prospecting, soliciting and selling property and casualty insurance products to new and renewal commercial clients.  Annual sales goals are determined by management.    Producer will provide client service as required

Duties and Responsibilities

¨       Development of sales objectives to meet the projected premium volume and commission goals as established by the President.

¨       Generates and manages prospect and suspect lists.

¨       Create leads/referrals from existing book of business.

¨       Pre-qualify prospects for quality and insurability.

¨       Identify client’s insurance needs, gaps in coverage and loss exposures and recommend appropriate insurance coverage to clients/prospects.

¨       Obtain accurate information from prospects, including completed applications, claims histories, supplemental questionnaires and any other pertinent information necessary to provide a proposal.

¨       Participate in community and company activities that facilitate agency name recognition and insurance leads.

¨      Document client files pertaining to any discussions that affect coverage, pricing, or client’s declination of coverage.

¨       Maintain sense of urgency and completeness when dealing with clients, agency and company personnel.

¨      Follow agency's established policies and procedures to avoid potential errors & omission claims.

Education and/or Experience

¨       High School diploma. College degree or significant insurance industry related experience preferred but not required.

Computer Skills

¨       Computer experience.  Working knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office products i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 

Licenses, Certificates,  Designations

¨       Valid driver’s license required with proof of insurance.

¨       Arizona P & C insurance license.   

¨      CIC or other industry related designation preferred but not required.
