About the Job
We are currently seeking an Assistant Controller/ Bookkeeper.
Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to): * Assist Senior Controller with daily operations.* Property Management Experience * Posting Collected rental money into computer database using industry software. * Maintaining accurate account ledgers and tenant records. * Answer phones * Process Mail * Accurate tally of bank deposits, bank reconciliations and maintaining receipt logs. * Calculate and process monthly sales taxes for properties. * Maintaining delinquencies. * Data entry; entering payables, printing and mailing checks. * Assist manager with positive tenant relations, responding in courteous and timely manner to tenant inquires. * Work lease renewals in accordance with established company policy and procedure. * Perform related duties and special projects as required by Managers.
REQUIREMENTS: MUST have prior experience with Property Management.Problem Solver Knowledge of QuickBooks. Knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, adjusting entries. Multi-tasker, candidate should be comfortable in working with many sets of books. Attention to detail, accurate data entry. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Speak English & Spanish
