Description
We are currently seeking a Commercial Real Estate Workout Officer. The incumbent is responsible for the administration of complex/sensitive Commercial and Commercial Real Estate Workout Loans with the objective of preserving the outstanding principal through procedures tailored to minimize losses and maximize recoveries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To manage a diversified portfolio of adversely rated credit significant value/complexity/sensitivity in a manner preserving outstanding principal by minimizing risk, maximizing loan collection, minimizing and recovering collection cost wherever possible (including legal fees and expenses), and maximizing return on assets.
2. To promptly analyze/evaluate exposure and loan documentation for assigned accounts (loan loss reserve, financial viability, feasibility of projects, future prospects, collateral, legal documentation) and define/report both internal and external deficiencies for each borrower.
3. To promptly devise, negotiate and implement strategies and alternative courses of action to either rehabilitate viable credits or maximize recovery of principal, interests and costs.
4. Perform consistent, timely and high quality credit administration duties, including file maintenance, timely completion of memorandums, status reports, and insure that all managed assets comply with applicable legal, regulatory and policy requirements.
5. To work effectively with and assist other department members, bank areas, /groups.
6. To keep informed of the laws, regulations and rulings governing negotiable instruments, insolvency and bankruptcy.
7. To provide consistent, high quality service ensuring timeliness and accuracy of response and rapid problem resolution.
8. To provide Current information and recommendations to Senior Management regarding problem loan situations.
Required Experience
• College degree (Finance Major)/ MBA (strongly preferred) • Strong credit analytical skills • Formal Credit Training • Strong commercial loan documentation expertise • 12+ years commercial and commercial real estate workout experience
