Commercial Sales Representative

JOB TITLE: Commercial Sales Representative
DEPARTMENT: Sales

POSITION SCOPE
The incumbent contacts potential customers regarding flooring sales opportunities in commercial settings such as hotels, restaurants, or office buildings. This position reports to the National Commercial Program Sales Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take proactive action to achieve commercial flooring sales objectives.
  • Make contacts with various industries that may have needs for flooring products such as carpet, hardwood, or laminate.
  • Possess product knowledge in order to be able to sell the best product to the customer and answer their questions.
  • Drive increased sales performance along with the quality of customer interactions.
  • Up to 50 % travel to various locations, including markets or customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • 5-7 years experience in a related sales background with focus on commercial flooring sales.
  • Must possess a high degree of self-motivation, and well developed planning, organization and time management skills.
  • Have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to present both product and service capabilities of the company in response to the unique needs of each customer.
  • Must be flexible to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.


Education:   HS Diploma/GED, Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing is preferred.

Computer Knowledge Requirements: MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
