About the Job

What you will do
A Johnson Controls Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert. You will alleviate concerns the customer may have regarding a security system. You will advise customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and processes inspections. You will perform fire alarm inspections, testing, and verifying fire alarm inspections are complete as well as burglar alarms, camera systems, and other security systems. This Technician will be set up with all of the tools and equipment needed to work independently from a remote location.

How you will do it
You will do inspections of any systems our customers contract Tyco to perform. This would be mainly fire inspections in both Washington and Oregon, Burglar Alarm, Camera Systems, and Access Control systems. Light troubleshooting to figure out what is problem if something does not work so we can send a technician with the correct part. A working knowledge of NFPA 72 is a must, pertaining to fire system testing.









What we look for
Required



  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 

  • EL06 license for the state of Washington.

  • Oregon state electrical license required - LEA license (Limited Energy Technician) - Class A.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line. 

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Electrical/Electronic background.

  • Valid driver's license.


Preferred


  • NICET Level 2 (this certification will be required by the state as of July 2018)

  • Fire alarm experience preferred.

  • Some college preferred.
