BDC Engineering is looking for qualified candidates in the Metro Detroit area for the following positions:


 


 


Senior Commissioning Engineers


A Senior Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the planning and execution of multiple projects and resources. Ideal candidates will have at least 5-10 years of professional experience in which responsibilities include the design, construction, operations and maintenance and/or commissioning of projects that are over 200,000 sq. ft. in size. Responsibilities for this position include project schedule coordination and the assistance in management of the team work flow, project deliverable management, supervision of functional test plan creation, supervision of final Cx report preparation and managing field activities of  Cx team members. Time and expense management of their assigned engineers as well as providing guidance and knowledge to those engineers is included in this role. Must maintain existing client relationship along with regular attendance of professional society meetings of key organizations.  The applicant must have hands-on-experience of HVAC and/or electrical systems, and at least 3 years experience working with absorbers, chillers, boilers, air ventilation balancing systems and other optimization techniques. Applicant preferences will be someone that has achieved one of the ACG or BCA certifications.


Project Engineers
A Project Engineer is responsible for the planning and execution of multiple projects and resources.
Ideal candidates will have at least 3-5 years of professional experience in which responsibilities include the design, construction, operations and maintenance or commissioning of projects that are at least 100,000 sq. ft. in size.  The applicant must have hands-on-experience of HVAC and/or electrical systems, and at least 3 years experience working with absorbers, chillers, boilers, air ventilation balancing systems and other optimization techniques. Applicant preferences will be someone that has achieved their EIT or their CEM certification.



Field Engineers
A Field Engineer Technician is responsible for the delivery and execution of commissioning related field tasks.
The qualified candidate must have an Associate Degree in an engineering, technical related field or at least 1 year of trade school experience as well as employed on a staff of engineers in the construction industry. The applicant must have general knowledge of the following areas: HVAC, steam management and distribution systems, Refrigeration, pumps, fans, motors, chillers, boilers, air ventilation balancing systems, Building Management Systems and Variable air Volume Systems. Trade association participation is a definite plus.
