Position Title: Communications Support Engineer w/ TS/SCI Clearance

Location:  Landover, Maryland

Clearance Requirement:  MUST have an active Top Secret/SCI

Job Description:

• Provides remote maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for a Wide Area Network (WAN) to include, routers, bridges, switches, Video Teleconferencing units, and VoIP systems from a Help Desk.
• Will perform tests with multiple tech controls and implement scheduled upgrades to the network to include router configurations .
• Must be willing to be crossed trained on the Client and Server systems and perform remote maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to capture customer calls in a Trouble Ticket system.

Minimum Requirements:

• The Basic Qualifications for this position: a minimum of 4 years experience directly related to this position. 
• Experience required in: CISCO routers and switches, Communications link troubleshooting and circut outages, CSU/DSU's, and Modems. Knowledge of Sun Server, RAID, UPS, Tape Drives, and Macintosh clients is a plus; knowledge of Bridging, TCP/IP SNMP, and Remedy a plus.
• Candidate must be capable of providing infrequent on-call after hours support if the need arises; minimum of two years of experience performing network troubleshooting. 
• Candidate must be willing to support a work schedule from 6 AM start time and a 6 PM closure time. Your shift may be either 4 days X 10 hrs or 5 days X 8 hrs. .

Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/ CI polygraph .
