The Communications (LMR) Technician performs under the supervision of the Lead LMR Technician in Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo.
The LMR Tech supports the LMRS Team's objectives and the US Army's mission in Kosovo. The LMR Tech must be prepared to install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain a wide variety of two-way communication equipment including, but not limited to: * Fixed, portable and mobile transceivers. * Base Station radio systems. * Vehicular mounted or mobile radio systems. * Repeater systems. * Alpha Numeric Paging terminals and repeater.
The LMR Tech may work alone or as part of a team, to complete projects and service orders for various communication systems under the direction of the LMRS Project Manager.

Equivalent Education Level: Requires B.S. degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related scientific fields.
Experience Required: Requires three years in electronics field, ideally in radio communications.
Knowledge Required: * Motorola Astro Digital LMR components, networks and applications. * Superior interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse staff and/or customer base at all times. * Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships that instill confidence and trust in our customers and the LMRS Team. * Willingness to perform in adverse conditions including but not limited to inclement weather, hostile situations & field deployments that may exceed the daily 8 hour schedule in support of the Kosovo LMRS Mission and the Lead LMR Technician's directives. * Responsive to emergency or on call maintenance or project support requests. * Exercise responsibility & sound judgment before, during and after work hours. * Maintain accountability of any Company or US Government assigned assets including but not limited to computers, cellular phones, LMR assets, badges/I.D. cards, tools, test equipment and company owned vehicles. * Must understand and comply with US Army and applicable US and Host Government regulations. * Must possess a current US Secret security clearance. * Motivated with a high level of self-initiative.
Successful candidate will have completed a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
