Develops and administers compensation programs to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness, as well as legal compliance, for all positions in University Hospitals. Acts as a resource to management and employees on compensation issues. Assists with the development, communication, and/or compliance testing of benefit programs to ensure competitive, cost effective, and compliant offerings. Analyzes and evaluates jobs to ensure fair and equitable internal grading. Contributes to the planning and administration compensation and benefits programs. Counsels and advises department management and employees on compensation-related issues, including laws and compliance. Provides direction and guidance to Human Resources and employees on benefit related issues. Participates in surveys and analyzes market data to ensure market competitiveness in compensation and benefits. Completes special projects and analyses to support compensation and benefits administration for UHHS.
Job Requirements Minimum of three years related experience in job evaluation and the administration of compensation programs. Understanding of the Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and other relevant laws.Experience in benefit administration and compliance with knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other relevant laws preferred. Analytical skills and abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs (Microsoft Office).
Educational Requirements BS/BA in a business-related field required.
Licensure and Certification Requirements PHR, CCP, or CBP Preferred.
