Description
Currently, Protective Life is looking for a Compliance Analyst in it Birmingham, AL corporate headquarters. The Compliance Analyst will create and maintain filed and prescribed forms for the Life and Annuity Division and for West Coast Life in one location for accuracy, consistency in use and compliance with state and federal regulations. In addition, the Compliance Analyst will ensure forms created by LAD Compliance are accurate and conform to latest filing regulations and will perform compliance audits under the direction of the LAD Compliance Officer.
Responsibilities:
- As part of the LAD Compliance Department will create new and redesign existing applications/forms to fit marketing needs. this includes:
- Coordinate differences of the “printed” format of the applications/forms with the pdf format that is posted to the website so they are consistent in style.
- Find resolutions to problems caused by application /form being printed by different print vendors and/or posted to various websites – sometimes requiring “special version” of application/form to meet specific need.
- Must ensure that any “special version” is consistent with required state/federal typesetting guidelines.
- Create and maintain the Forms Database for consistently assigning form numbers and sending forms to selected reviewers for their comments and recommendations for changes that may impact their business needs.
- Obtain final approval from each reviewer before implementing new forms.
- Coordinate with LAD Forms Representative to create state variations when generic application/form has been approved.
- Create pdfs of approved applications/forms for (1) posting to website, (2) for individuals to print on desktop printers, and (3) for higher resolution printing.
- Prepare approved forms and application packets for print spreads and for website viewing.
- Create fillable forms as needed and upload to the website according to established procedures for IAD, IDG, Annuities and West Coast Life.
- Provide communication to distribution channels as needed for forms changes or implementation of new forms.
- Attend various project meetings as Compliance Forms Representative. This includes:
- Provide information and guidance in creating forms for new products or changing products.
- Keep open communication between the various distribution channels involved in new projects to determine coordination needs for a smooth implemention of various projects with definite deadlines.
- Perform audits and other compliance functions as required under the direction of the LAD Compliance Officer.
- Will occasionally receive Marketing Advertising review requests in which form numbers or other information must be verified for new documents submitted for approval through the Advertising Database.
Required Experience
Requirements:
- 5 plus years experience in Word and Excel is required including profienciency in creating Excel forms.
- Two years professional experience in a large working environment.
- Experience withf Adobe Acrobat Proffessional is required.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and analytical skills.
- Ability to be flexible to change
- Understanding various needs of different commercial printers and the various printing processes which impacts upon how a job is created and produced
