Compliance Analyst - Salt Lake City, UT
 
Position Description:
Positions in this function monitor changes to laws and regulations to ensure compliance with State & Federal laws, regulations and mandates. Establish and implement standard policies, procedures, processes and best practices to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations. Conduct state and federal-specific legal and regulatory research and monitor changes to requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance. Support the collection of data for regulatory filings, coordinate and develop reports, projects, assessment tools to verify compliance. May develop compliance communications and drive problem resolution for a business.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Monitors and approves requests for the ARRA Data Governance process.

  • Analyzes and investigates.

  • Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise.

  • Has a strong working knowledge of state and federal banking laws and regulations which govern banking operations and retail deposit and lending products; in particular, Privacy and Information Security laws and regulations.

  • Has the ability to work independently and in a team environment and will meet deadlines and manage scheduling changes as required to meet business needs.

Qualifications:
  • 2 years of privacy regulation

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • 2 years of working with banking regulations

  • 2 years of experience working in Excel and Access

  • Bachelors degree in business or related major; or comparable work experience preferred

  • Knowledge of bank operations preferred
