Compliance Manager

Position Description: This position is responsible for ensuring compliance of business units with laws and regulations applicable to mortgage servicing. The successful candidate will assess the global and departmental compliance risks of the organization; manage a small team of compliance associates who research and distribute newly enacted and revised regulations and laws; work with the Legal Department to determine the impact to the organization of new and amended regulations; ensure implementation of regulatory and legal changes and compliance by the business units; help facilitate regulatory changes company-wide as needed; track and report results to all levels of management; research and monitor high-impact pending legislation; and manage several processes related to high-risk, escalated, and/or critical tasks.
Position Requirements: The successful candidate will have experience in reading, researching, and interpreting laws and regulations; possess the ability to assess risk related to a variety of compliance requirements and manage tasks accordingly; have the ability to build strong relationships at all levels with the organization; display excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrate the ability to design and manage tracking and reporting processes; and have experience in managing personnel. Knowledge of mortgage servicing and/or financial services is preferred but not required.
