Compliance Officer
POSITION SUMMARY:
· Lead and direct all regulatory compliance responsibilities in support of Company policies, goals and objectives.
· This position is responsible for Federal and State compliance monitoring and reporting. Emphasis will be on maintaining and implementing the company’s Compliance Plan and preparing for, supervising, coordinating and responding to state licensing and regulatory audits.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 to 7+ years mortgage banking experience in the area of compliance, legal or another mortgage banking function offering large exposure to legal and regulatory compliance requirements
- 17+ years in the mortgage industry, with an emphasis regulatory compliance and operations
- Must have a working knowledge of state and federal compliance requirements including Reg Z, RESPA, Reg C, fair lending requirements, GLB, CAN-SPAM, ECOA, PMI, FDPA, FCRA, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
