Job Summary

Provide staff support for the Corporate Compliance Program (CCP) for Zimmer's Americas segment

(Americas), including assistance with developing, implementing and monitoring policies, procedures, practices, and training designed to ensure compliance with federal healthcare programs and other laws.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the maintenance of the CCP for Americas and the execution of Americas Compliance Office activities, as directed by the Americas Compliance Officer, including but not limited to:

- Drafting, as necessary, CCP Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions;

- Developing and/or delivering Americas compliance training and education programs;

- Supporting Americas CCP monitoring processes and audit activities;

- Participating in the investigative processes of reported or suspected compliance concerns; and

- Supporting the promotion and enforcement of the CCP for Americas.

Provide counsel and guidance to internal business clients and external field sales personnel regarding the CCP and its interpretation in compliance with the law and applicable codes of ethics.

Assist the Company in complying with its Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) requirements.

Be knowledgeable about the Company’s aggregate spend electronic tracking systems and support the day-to-day activities related to tracking and reporting expenditures as required under federal and state transparency laws.

Engage in continuing education activities on compliance practices, including regular self-study related to current trends and developments such as changes in law, government enforcement efforts and guidance, and industry best practices.

- Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of compliance matters.

 

Education/Experience Requirements

- Juris Doctor Degree (law degree) from an ABA-accredited law school and at least 1-3 years of experience in compliance/legal matters, preferably related to the medical device industry.

 

Travel Requirements

- Up to 20%
