The 145 surgery centers and surgical hospitals operated by SCA focus on short-term care and primarily provide non-emergency surgical and other procedures in several specialties, including orthopedics, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, pain management, otolaryngology, urology, gynecology, and others. The centers and hospitals provide the facilities, logistics and support staff necessary for physicians to perform these procedures.

Sr. Compliance Auditor

Job Summary:


 


Internal auditor conducting all phases of compliance, operational and financial reviews. Will also participate in and/or lead process improvement projects. Opportunity to impact development of SCA culture and interact directly with executive management. Will work with all home office departments as well as interact directly with SCA’s facilities.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Performing all phases of facility site reviews

  • Performing all phases of internal operational and compliance reviews

  • Performing Sarbanes Oxley 404 testing

  • Serving on project implementation teams

  • Working effectively with external audit firm

  • Working as part of a team who support each other to accomplish set goals and objectives together


Requirements:


  • Travel up to 40%

  • Must exhibit the SCA Values


Total education, vocational training and experience:


  • 2+ years of experience related to health care operations and/or healthcare compliance preferred but not required. Additional experience related to audit (preferred).

  • Four year college degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or health care administration required.

  • Understanding of audit procedures and internal controls.

  • Excellent planning, analytical, organizational and communication skills are essential.
