The position described below is a job profile that is generally representative of current or future openings at Intel. - Designing chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation, and characterization
- Documenting specifications, prototype construction and checkout
- Modifying and evaluating semiconductor devices and components
- Performing developmental and/or test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams
- Planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects
- Responding to customer and/or client requests or events
- Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with more than four years experience and knowledge in logic design and logic validation and/or verification. Additional qualifications include:
- Expertise in modeling and simulation tools
- Experience with Verilog* RTL
- Strong knowledge of processor architecture and micro architecture
- Experience with VHDL and Verilog* RTL coding
- Experience with Synopsys* Design Compiler and/or Physical Compiler
- System debug skills, including ITP experience
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, tcl, assembly and Perl
- Strong fundamental understanding of simulation and verification methodologies and/or tools
- Experience with RTL modeling, RTL debug, and logic verification; knowledge of programming skills (Shell and/or Perl) in the UNIX* environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform well in a team environment
- Knowledge of Design for Testing, Design for Manufacturing, and/or DFD would be an added advantage
