Composite Technician responsible for laminating plastic cloth, resins, and/or pre- impregnated cloth onto layup mold or bonding fixture to shape parts.  Wrap bonding fixture or mold in vacuum bagging materials, attaches fittings to mold or fixture, and exhaust air from vacuum bag to prepare lamination for curing or bonding.  Requires a High School diploma and 2 years experience minimum in industrial composite/plastics fabrication. 

- Apply release to mold surfaces to facilitate assembly and removal of laminated parts.

- Apply layers of pre-preg to mold surfaces to achieve appropriate part thickness

 - Hand lay-up/autoclave cure with vacuum bagging

 - Prepares tooling/fixturing used for fabrication and coupon testing.

 - Sets-up and operates forming machines and presses, or laminates plastic cloth and  resins or  pre-mpregnated cloth onto layup mold or bonding fixture, to shape parts.

 - Wraps bonding fixture or mold in vacuum bagging materials, attaches fittings to mold  or fixture, such as vacuum connections, thermocouples, and probes, and exhausts air from vacuum bag to prepare lamination for curing or bonding.

Training will be on 1st shift for approximately 3 months, position will then move to 2nd shift after completion of training.
