Micro Medics, Inc., a Vernon Hills, IL based company, is looking for someone to join our team as a laptop bench technician.  We are considered one of the industry leaders in nationwide laptop repairs and some of the largest retailers in the country rely on our "best in class" repair abilities to help service their customers.  Due to continued rapid growth, we are looking to add 2-3 techs for these positions.

When it comes to repairs, this is not just a "parts swapping" job.  We get down to the component level, whenever possible, to identify failed chips on the circuit board as well as a host of other component level repairs.  Many techs dream of an opportunity to learn the things we know, very few ever get the chance. 

Job Description:

Practical experience in laptop hardware repair including the diagnosis, dis-assembly/re-assembly, and accurate repair of whole units is required. We work with HDDs, DVDs, LCD, Logic Boards, Keyboards, FL Inverters, Fan Assemblies, etc.  We will consider candidates with little exposure to laptops as long as there is a solid experience repairing computer hardware in a break/fix environment.

Electronics background in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing multiple components on circuit boards including knowledge of Caps, Shunts, Diodes, Resistors, SMT and BGA chips and how they work relative to a circuit board is a major plus. Solid understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems is required.

Qualifications:

·         High School or GDA

·         A+ certifications get priority consideration

·         Component level soldering skills are a major plus
