Supervisor of Computer Operations

We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor of Computer Operations for our Schenectady office. Under the direction of the Manager of Operations, the Supervisor of Computer Operations will be responsible for the supervision of IT Operations including personnel scheduling, and production support. Will attend and actively participate in any meeting that have operational implications. Will assist, cooperate and provide support for the MVP user community. Maintains detailed documentation of all routine jobs run by IT operators, including interaction with other IT staff on implementation of new jobs. Will coordinate check processing for all MVP LOB’s and maintain communication with all departments involved. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:  AAS or BS in Computer Science discipline or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 

Minimum 5 years Computer Operations Supervisory experience preferably in a healthcare environment.

Also experience supervising a 24x7 operations shifts that includes nights and weekends staff

Required Skills:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows operating system as well as Outlook. Unix/Linux experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Facets, MACESS and maxMC a plus.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills to resolve basic operational problems.
• Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with users in obtaining information and resolving problems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately.
• Control-M scheduler knowledge/experience a plus
