Computer Security & Information Protocal Specialist (ISSO)
About the Job
This position will perform duties of Computing Security Specialist on a contractor team at Fort Greely, Alaska and serve primarily as ISSO for classified computer operations. A current final Secret Clearance is required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of audits, system access controls, coordination and maintenance of operating authorizations, and investigating computing security incidents and violations.
- Compliance with security program operating procedures
- Storing and disposing assigned classified material
- Security education of employees includes participation in training
- Coordinating security matters with host, customer, and appropriate security representatives
- Support preparing and conducting security program reviews and self-inspections
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements:
- For the purposes of this contract, US Citizenship is required.
- Applicants must have a current FINAL SECRET clearance - will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for accessing classified information.
- Candidate should have extensive knowledge concerning Department of Defense (DoD) Dir 8500 and DIACAP/DITSCAP.
- Candidate must be able to work in cold area environment.
- Candidate must be CISSP or Security Plus Certified.
