Computer System Security Analyst Stf

Description:
Analyzes metrics logs and reports to monitor security performance, particularly on patching status on all platforms. - Participates in network and systems design to provide assistance to senior staff to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies. - Assists with coordination of risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed systems to identify protection needs and with coordination of certification systems and networks to ensure consistency with policies and procedures. - Monitors security aspects of IT operations to ensure the 24x7 enforcement of information assurance policies. -Conducts research and analysis of administrative and technical security measures which fully meet customer requirements. - Responsible for executing technical assessment of technical security measures of systems to demonstrate compliance or non-compliance with policy. - Implements corrective actions for assessed security events. - Recommends change in policies and guidance based on assessment of requirements not addressed in existing security directives and operations. - Advises appropriate management officials on information technology (IT) security actions, issues, problems, and events having significant consequences on operational programs - Performs other duties as assigned.-

* Candidate should have xxperience in performing detail Risk Assessments and Security planning and writing per NIST.
1 Experience in system design, development and implementation.
2 Experience in full system life cycle
3 Experience with system integration and configuration management.
4 Strong Communication Skills
* Knowledge of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process based on National Institute of Standards Technology (NIST) requirements
* 5 or more years in Information Security
1 Experience with Vulnerability scanning tools
* Experience in analyzing complex system designs and providing

Qualifications:
Requires knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in Information Security and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments. A thorough and detailed knowledge of and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for developing new or modified IT work methods, approaches, or procedures, and to identify, evaluate, and recommend solutions to complex issues and/or problems.
Security Certifications Ex: CISSP, SSCP, GIAC Certifications

Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
