



Operates computer hardware system peripheral equipment, such as tape drives. Reads instructions and schedule, receives instructions from supervisor verbally, to determine work for shift. Mounts cartridges of magnetic tape in tape drives, manipulates switches, enters commands into computer, using a PC, and performs other tasks, to start and operate peripheral machines. Observes machine operations and error lights on machines to detect malfunction. Removes faulty materials and notifies supervisor of error or machine stoppage. Unloads and labels magnetic tape for delivery to off site storage vendor, other worker or tape library.
Position may be required to work on various shifts, weekends, and holidays. Candidate must possess good communication skills and be a team player. Comprehensive benefits, paid leave, holidays, and EOE.
