Job Title: Repair Technician Level II and Level III
Perform high level repairs that include, but are not limited to password removal, system board repair, LCD replacement, cosmetic repair (i.e. replacement of palm pad, top cover, keyboard, and etc.).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned that pertain to the classification. Demonstrated job duties and knowledge listed are sum for the job classification. Knowledge of all duties is to be cross functional but specific duties are assigned within available personnel.
Level I:
- Replace hard drives
- Replace memory
- Configure systems per company spec sheets
- Verification of DOD wipe on HDDs
- Determine if systems need further repairs by Tech II or Tech III
Level II:
- Diagnose systems using various diagnostic tools – software, hardware, and diagnostic equipment
- Replace system boards
- Replace LCDs
- Replace all plastics
- Determine if systems need further repairs by Tech III
Level III:
- Isolate password chip and replace using de-soldering and soldering tools
- Must complete A+ certification
