Description: Purpose of the Job:
The Registrar is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of all academic recordkeeping and oversees registration and course enrollment, curriculum information and degree requirements, degree audit, transfer credit policies and processing, certification of graduates, academic awards and transcripts. The Registrar works with the Financial Aid Office to insure the schools compliance with FERPA and other federal regulations. The Registrar reports to the Associate Dean.
Responsibilities and Typical Activities:
Typical activities include: - Oversee registration and enrollment - Transcript services - Issuance of grades - Verify student status, enforce school policies for dismissals - Answer student questions and requests - Perform degree audits - Coordinate students with transfer credit - Compilation and reporting of enrollment data - Coordinate and verify student status with other departments (Student Services, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, Admissions) - Certify enrollment for military students and those receiving VA benefits

Qualifications: Required Experience: - Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution - 2 years experience at an institution of higher education. Experience in the registrars office or office of admissions preferred. Preferred job skills: - High degree of attention to detail - Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills - Proven problem solver - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with numerous priorities and critical deadlines - Standard office applications such as Excel, Access, Word, Outlook - Computer literacy and experience with Campus Management systems Measurement of Success: Accurate academic recordkeeping in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Timely response to requests for information from administration, business office, faculty and students.
