Construction Litigation Associate ('05-'07 Graduate)

About the Job

Top ranked national law firm with offices in Chicago seeks an associate
with two to four years of experience (2005 to 2007 J.D.) for its
construction practice group.


The position will include a variety of litigation and transactional
matters involving: purchasing/procurement contract review and
counseling to corporate and business clients; project controls advice
and services to energy/utility companies; and dispute resolution
services on behalf of our clients with respect to claims involving
professional liability, delay, impact and acceleration, mechanic’s lien
foreclosures, and construction defects.


This law firm is known nationally for its preeminence in
construction law. Chambers USA has recognized the practice as one of
the best in their annual rankings for the past four years. Four
attorneys were named Leading Lawyers by Chambers USA in their
respective states. Two construction attorneys have been elected Fellows
of the American College of Construction Lawyers, the most distinguished
professional organization in this field. Five attorneys have been named
to the 2009 Illinois Leading Lawyers Network.


Strong writing skills and academics are required. Construction
background, previous clerkship, and law review experience are pluses.
Must be open to travel.
