Medium-sized General Contractor specializing in Federal/DoD construction looking for a Construction Quality Control (QC) Manager for a new design-build project at Fort Lewis, WA. Primary duties to include daily performance of all quality control functions, working under the authority of the Project Manager.

The general duties for this position are summarized below, but will include other routine tasks not specifically identified below.
· Inspect work in progress to insure that it conforms to the contract documents and schedule. · Along with the Superintendent, direct regular meetings with field crews and subcontractor personnel, as well as with owner representatives · Be responsible for the implementation of the Contractor Quality Control Program · Ensure that the proper level of Quality Control of all subcontracted and self-performed work is maintained, check all submittals for accuracy, coordinate the performance of all required inspections and testing, and have the authority to stop all work when it is determined to either be unsafe or not to the proper standards of quality. · Complete all required onsite documentation and reports related to quality control · Manage the US Army Corps of Engineers "QCS" program for the project · Other related duties Education Requirement: This position REQUIRES that the QC Manager possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management. US Army Corps of Engineers will not approve an individual for assignment to this position without the required degree, so please do not apply without it. Skills/Qualifications: Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years relevant experience performing onsite supervision/quality control management of construction projects. Some experience with Federal/Military construction STRONGLY preferred, including experience utilizing USACE QCS software.
Word Processing, Written Communication, Coordination, Familiarity with Construction Industry and standard construction practices, Attention to Detail, Quality Control Capabilities, CPR and First Aid Certification (will be required- is a plus if already obtained), Completion of US Army Corps of Engineers "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" Course (will be required- is a plus if already obtained)
