Construction Site Superintendent

About the Job

Lifestyle Communities, a regional real estate developer based in Columbus, Ohio, seeks to hire a full-time Construction Site Superintendent to manage upcoming multi-family development projects in the Greater Nashville, Tennessee market. Lifestyle Communities is a multi-family, regional real estate developer specializing in developing and managing master planned, class A apartment communities and creating incredible living experiences for residents. We have communities in the Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee markets with our headquarters located in Columbus, Ohio. In alignment to the Company's brand strategy of delivering the good life, this role is going to focus on creating positive, unique and memorable experiences for our residents and customers.

Key job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees day to day construction operations and construction activities

  • Manages project budget and monitors job cost variances through all phases of construction

  • Manages a competitive, and fast paced construction schedule for each project to ensure work performed is completed on time and to quality standards

  • Manages and develops subcontractor relationships with respect to contracting, scheduling, quality control and payments

  • Communicates  with corporate and field staff on project status, production, product changes or schedule variances

  • Coordinates plan approvals and permitting to adhere to site planning and zoning and project schedules

  • Manages product changes and enhancements as directed

  • Completes other projects as needed

Qualified candidates will have three (3) to five (5) years of residential, multi family construction management experience.  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is preferred.  Strong knowledge of local and national building codes, safe construction practices and OSHA regulations  required.  Work requires ability to effectively communicate with participants at all levels of a development project. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment is necessary.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project required. Previous experience with Viewpoint is desired but not required. Ability to learn internal accounting and construction project management software is essential.
