Responsibilities will include:
- Developing accurate conceptual and hard bid cost models
- Making meaningful value engineering contributions
- Leading proposal development, including understanding, writing, and negotiating contracts
- Creating construction schedule and budgets
- Buying-out projects from start to completion
- Contract administration, including reviewing all agreements
- Coordinating and managing project set-up and start-up, pre-job conferences, job site meetings, submittals, and all project management activities
- Enforcing all company policies and procedures, including safety and quality control
- Additional duties as directed by company management specific to the position
The ideal candidates will be reliable, have a steady work history, and possess the following qualifications/competencies:
- 3 to 7 years construction experience as a Project Manager, Estimator, Engineer, or similar in a commercial general contracting environment
- Experience in commercial construction estimating and commercial preconstruction
- Experience in project scheduling and coordination, project management, and general construction practices
- Proficiency with various estimating software packages
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, or comparable software
- Strong organizational and excellent writing skills
