CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

My client is a civil construction firm with major focuses on construction management, heavy construction, site preparation, demolition, and underground utilities with continual focus on cutting edge innovation to exceed customer expectations.

Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience and be able to direct and supervise activities of workers with construction of buildings, highways, dams, pipelines, or other civil/industrial construction projects.

Must have good tenure with a reputable civil/industrial contractor with experience in the mentioned projects.

Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work and the ability to understand and interpret blueprints and job specifications.

Ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to be a problem solver, have technical and interpersonal skills with good oral and written communication abilities and work in an environment focused on teamwork.  Should be able to effectively delegate, lead and manage people effectively while maintaining a cost conscious focus.  Need to have a professional manner, dependable, motivated and punctual. 

Education and/or experience consists of a high school diploma, preferably a construction management degree with 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Computer knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word processing software.

OSHA 30 HR Certificate and CPR/First Aid Certificate  

Clean background with references a must.  Must be able to be approved to work on Federal, State and COE projects.
