Job Responsibilities:

 

  • The position will reside within the Health Services Consulting Practice for the express purpose of providing Medicaid related service delivery
  • Function comfortably with senior executives and decision makers either through formal presentations or by facilitating meetings that bridge conflicting objectives
  • Provide policy analysis and policy research related to health care programs, information technology and public program administration
  • Provide professional consulting to state government client related to the of American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA), with specialization in Health Information Technology (HIT) and Health Information Exchange (HIE)
  • Participate in the development of an HIE strategic and operational plan
  • Facilitate consensus among large, diverse groups of stakeholders
  • Provide policy analysis and policy research related to the ARRA to state government clients

 

Education/Experience:

 

  • At least three years in health care consulting or information technology delivery, including deliverable design and development, policy research and analysis and strategic plan development
  • Preference given to those with a Master of Public Policy/Master of Public Administration, Master of Business Administration or similar degree
  • Experience with Medicaid/Medicare programs a plus
  • Fluent/Bilingual in business Spanish a plus
  • Up to 100% travel will be required.

 

Travel Equipment:

  • Because projects may be located in other countries, the candidate will be asked to stay in the project-based city for at least two weekends per month to reduce extended travel times
