Primary Emphasis:

SunGard Information Security (IS) Senior Consultants are responsible for delivering high quality IS engagements on-time, on-budget, and with high levels of customer satisfaction. Senior Consultants are expected to maintain consistently high billable utilizations, while demonstrating their ability to participate as a project team member while managing a robust workload.  She/he is also responsible for fostering and expanding customer relationships in order to drive add-on business opportunities with their regional leadership team.  Senior Consultants are also asked to mentor junior consultants and provide quality assurance.

 

The Senior Consultant's responsibilities include:

Delivering consulting services on time, on budget, with a focus on attaining high customer satisfaction



Ensure high customer satisfaction scores for all projects by completing on-time quality deliverables to the project team and customer with no rework

Provide accurate and timely project status updates to the assigned Engagement Manager, and ensure accurate recording of project hours into the time tracking system

Comply with established service methodologies for engagement delivery

Contributes to the development and refinement of service methodologies working with the Center of Excellence

Participates in the development of the project schedules with the Engagement Manager and project team in order to identify key customer expectations and milestones for the project





Owning a robust workload while executing strong time management disciplines to meet deadlines and customer deliverables



Manage workload efficiency with Principal and Engagement Managers to meet monthly revenue generation and billable utilization expectations for the Senior Consultant role

Meets all project deadlines and communicate regularly with management regarding customer timelines, workload conflicts, and issue escalation when appropriate





Building strong relationships through quality work and thought leadership within customer organizations to assist with driving add-on business and long-term partnerships



Participate as a project team member with the development of strong deliverable content in order to drive solid recommendations for customers 

Participate in the analysis, design and implementation phases of a project to provide value and expertise to the project team when developing final deliverables

Collaborate closely with the Engagement Managers and project team members in identifying and closing additional revenue opportunities and creating reference accounts





Contribute high quality collateral to the consulting team's knowledge base

Participate in sales support activities when appropriate by providing thought leadership

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Qualifications:

*         Undergraduate degree required in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an Information Security related field preferred but will       consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent

*         CISSP Certification preferred, others a plus

*         Minimum 5 years experience working with Information Security disciplines

*         Experience with risk and vulnerability assessments, security architecture design and implementation, policy development and security information analysis

*         Strong technical experience across several industries, serving as a trusted advisor

*         Strong time management skills with ability to coordinate multiple engagements simultaneously and prioritize demands

*         Strong customer relationship management skills, focused on long-term relationships with repeat customer business

*         Strong drive to achieving results with high quality and customer satisfaction

*         Demonstrated skills working as part of a team and as an independent contributor

*         Strong analytical skills

*         Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner

*         Excellent interpersonal skills

*         Excellent decision making and problem solving skills

*         Experience in public speaking including presentations to senior executives and large groups

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Physical Demands

The Sr. Consultant will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. The Sr. Consultant will also have to scope and deliver presentations in front of groups of people. This position will requires significant travel

 

Environmental Conditions

The incumbent is located in a busy, open area office. The incumbent is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.

 

Sensory Demands

The incumbent must spend long hours in intense concentration. The incumbent must also spend long hours on the computer entering information which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

 

Mental Demands

There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress. The incumbent must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
